Titanic nails

Met de nieuwe Titanic 3D film in de cinema en de herdenking van 100 jaar Titanic, had ik zin om mijn nagels een Titanic touch te geven met hierboven het resultaat!

With the new Titanic 3D movie in the theaters and the memorial of 100 years of Titanic, I felt like giving my nails a Titanic touch with the above result!


Geïnspireerd op onderstaande foto's, zal ik weer stap voor stap proberen uit te leggen hoe ik het heb gemaakt.

Inspired by the pictures below, I will again try to explain how I made it with a step by step tutorial.

Gebruikte materialen / Used materials:
- Essence : 98 Walk on air
- O.P.I : Russian Navy NL R54
- O.P.I : Diva of Geneva NL Z17
- Sally Hansen : nail art pen : white
- Essence : nail art pen : 02 cool black
- Sinful Colors : 1110 Pandora
- Sinful Colors : 2 Black on black
- teeeZ : Cool 07
- Gosh : 555 Silver
- dun penseeltje / small brush
- sponsje / little sponge
- plastic bakje of schaaltje / plastic tray or dish
- dotting tool

Stap 1 : Blauw-paarse achtergrond maken.
Als achtergrond heb ik me laten inspireren door de mooie blauwe en paarse kleuren van de single van Celine Dion : My heart will go on.

Step1 : Making a blue-purple background.
For the background I was inspired by the beautiful blue and purple colors from the Celine Dion single : My heart will go on.


Stap 1a / Step 1a
Lak je nagels met de blauwe kleur van Essence (98 Walk on air).

Polish your nails with the blue polish from Essence (98 Walk on air).

Stap 1b / Step 1b
Breng wat donker blauwe nagellak van O.P.I. (Russian Navy NL R54) aan op het plastic bakje.
Ik gebruik een klein sponsje van de dm, maar je kan om het even welke spons gebruiken.
Dompel het sponsje in de nagellak op het plastic plaatje, dep het teveel af op het plaatje en stempel dan met het sponsje de donker blauwe kleur onderaan op de nagel (als zee). 

Apply a little dark blue polish from O.P.I. (Russian Navy NL R54) on the plastic tray.
I use a sponge from dm, but you can use any sponge.
Dip the sponge in the nail polish on the tray, remove the excess polish by dipping the sponge again on the tray and stamp with the spong the dark blue color at the bottom of the nail (as the sea).

Stap 1c / Step 1c
Stempel met de spons op dezelfde manier als hierboven de paars-rode O.P.I. kleur (Diva of Geneva NL Z17) bovenaan de nagel (als lucht).

Stamp with the spong the same way as above the purple-red O.P.I color (Diva of Geneva NL Z17) at the top of the nail (as the sky).

Stap 2 : Het tekenen van het schip Titanic op de duimen.
Step 2 : Drawing the Titanic ship on the thumbs.

Je kan best het schip zo eenvoudig mogelijk tekenen en een aantal keren oefenen op een blad papier (zie linkse foto).
Dan heb ik met de witte nail art pen van Sally Hansen alle lijnen getekende en afgewerkt met de zwarte nail art pen van Essence.
Vervolgens heb ik met de oranje-bruine kleur van Sinful Colors (1110 Pandora) de onderkant van de schoorstenen gekleurd met een penseeltje.
Tenslotte heb ik de bovenste delen van de schoorstenen en de onderkant van het schip met de zwarte kleur van Sinful Colors (2 Black on black) gevuld met het kleine penseel.

It is best to draw the ship as simple as possible and to practice a couple of times on a sheet of paper (see the photo on the left).
Then I used the white Sally Hansen nail art pen to draw all the lines and I finished with the black nail art pen from Essence.
I used the orange-brown color from Sinful Colors (1110 Pandora) to color the lower sides of the chimneys with a small brush.
Finally I filled the upper parts of the chimneys and the lower part of the ship with the black colour from Sinful Colors (2 Black on black) and a small brush.

Stap 3 : Het tekenen van "the heart of the ocean" ketting op de ringvinger.
Step 3 : Drawing "the heart of the ocean" necklace on the ring finger.

Teken een hart met een dun penseeltje op de ringvinger met de mooie blauwe kleur van teeeZ (Cool 07).
Breng op een plastic bakje de zilveren kleur van Gosh aan en gebruik een dotting tool om de stipjes rondom het hart te maken en om een deel van de ketting te tekenen.

Draw a heart with a small brush on the ring finger with the beautiful blue colour from teeeZ (Cool 07).
Apply the silver color from Gosh on a plastic tray and use a dotting tool to create the dots around the heart and as part of the chain.

Het resultaat : mijn mooie Titanic manicure is klaar!

I'm your tiger, honey!

Vandaag een manicure geïnspireerd op een van mijn glaskralen uit mijn pandora-armband.
Het is heel eenvoudig te maken en zeer mooi.

Today a manicure inspired by one of my glass beads from my pandora bracelet.
It's very easy to make and very beautiful.



Benodigde materialen / Used materials:
- Fairwind : 45 Silky sand
- Essence Multi Dimension : 39 Spicy
- LA Colours : NP425 Seashell
- penseel / brush



Als basis heb ik een grijs-licht beige kleur van het merk Fairwind aangebracht.
Hierop heb ik enkele bruine strepen met een penseel getrokken.
Ten slotte heb ik willekeurig wat doorzichtig gouden vlekjes geplaatst.
En voila, klaar!

As a base I applied a gray-light beige colour from Fairwind.
Here over I drawn a couple of brown stripes with the brush.
Finally, I randomly placed some transparant golden spots.
And voila, ready!

Dit zijn de 3 kleuren die ik gebruikt heb als basis:

Zet met de dikste dottingtool een stip. Deze wordt het midden van de bloem.
Place a dot with the big dottingtool. This is the middle of the flower.


Plaats dan met de kleinere dottingtool kleinere stipjes rondom de dikkere stip. Dit zijn de bloemblaadjes.
Place with the small dotting tool dots around the first dot. These are the flower leafs.

En klaar! Simpel, toch?

Voorbeeld 3
Gebruikte materialen en nagellak:

- Max dnc 9 black
- Catrice 470 Snow Motion!
- een dunne en een dikke dottingtool

Zet met de dikke dottingtool zwarte stippen en laat wat drogen. Zet daarna met een dunne dottingtool witte stippen midden in de zwarte stippen. Klaar!

- Max dnc 9 black
- Catrice 470 Snow Motion!
- a small and big dotting tool


Place black dots with the big dotting tool and let dry. Then place white dots with the smal dotting tool in the black dots. Ready!



Voorbeeld 4
Gebruikte materialen en nagellak:
- Max dnc 9 black
- SinfulColors 101 Snow me white
- een dunne en een dikke dottingtool

Zet met de dikke dottingtool witte stippen en laat wat drogen. Zet daarna met een dunnere dottingtool zwarte stippen midden in de witte stippen. Klaar!

- Max dnc 9 black
- SinfulColors 101 Snow me white
- a small and big dotting tool


Place white dots with the big dotting tool and let dry. Then place black dots with the small dotting tool in the white dots. Ready!

- een dunne en een dikke dottingtool
- een penseel

Example 5

- a small and big dotting tool
- a small paint brush


Zet met de dikke dottingtool 4 stippen kort bij elkaar, dit zijn de bloemblaadjes. Laat drogen.
Place 4 dots close to each other with the big dotting tool, these are the flower leafs. Let it dry.



Trek met het penseel 2 lijnen als steel en zet met de dunne dottingtool 3 stipjes in de blauwe bloemblaadjes. Klaar!
Make 2 lines with the paint brush as flowerstalks and place 3 dots with the small dotting tool in the blue flower leafs. Ready!

Example 6

Lak een schuin gedeelte van de nagel blauw.
Polish a diagonal part of the nail with blue nail polish.


Trek een scheidingslijn met het penseel (met Manhatten 96D).  Gebruik de dottingtool om stippen te zetten op het blauwe gedeelte (met esssence 06 flying higher).
Draw a separation line with the paint brush (with colour Manhatten 96D). Use a dotting tool to place dots on the blue part (with essence 06 flying higher).

Gebruikte materialen - Used materials:

Stap 1
Lak je nagels met Essence Urban Messages : 02 Skyscraper. Dit geeft je nagels een lichte grijze kleur. Er zitten ook zeer kleine glittertjes in. Laat goed drogen.

Step 1
Polish your nails with Essence Urban Messages : 02 Skyscraper. This gives your nails a light grey colour. There is also a little shimmer in it. Let it dry.



Stap 2
Maak met de nail art pen een luipaard motief. Dit doe je door c'tjes te tekenen en kleine streepjes en puntjes toe te voegen.

Step 2

Make a leopard motive with the nail art pen. You can do this by making c's and adding little stripes and dots.



Stap 3
Vul de c'tjes met Catrice : 460 In The Bronx. Dit gaat gemakkelijk met een dotting tool, maar ook bijv. met een penseeltje.

Step 3

Fill the c's with Catrice : 460 In The Bronx. This is easy with a dotting tool or a little paint brush.

Stap 4
Eindig met de Essence re-mix your style Dance topcoat. Hiermee creëer je een speciaal glans effect.

Finish with the Essence re-mix your style Dance topcoat. With this you create a special shine effect.
