Zwart met bloemen - Black with flowers

Hallo iedereen, deze keer een bloemen manicure met zwarte achtergrond.
Hello everybody, this time I made a floral manicure with black background.

Lak je nagels zwart met P2 Square Affaire (020 - Straight black) en laat goed drogen.
Stempel met de witte kleur van P2 Square Affaire (010 - Pure white) de hawaiiaanse bloemetjes van de SdP-L plaat op je nagels.
Nu gaan we de bloemetjes inkleuren met een dotting tool. Ik maak gebruik van de zogenaamde "glas-in-lood" techniek. Hierbij verdun ik mijn nagellak met top coat (maakt het meer transparant) zodat de witte gestempelde bloemen gekleurd worden, maar dat je de gestempelde delen blijft zien.
De blaadjes zijn groen gekleurd met P2 Wild Me uP! - 030 Hypnotised.
Het binnenste van de bloem heb ik rood gekleurd met Catrice - 18 Bloody Mary To Go.
De bloemblaadjes zijn geel, roze en paars gekleurd met respectievelijk "P2 Wild Me uP! - 020 Screaming", "Gosh - 569 Flamingo" en "Catrice - 800 Heavy Metallilac".
Alles is afgewerkt met de top coat.
Klaar!

Polish your nails black with P2 Square Affaire (020 - Straight black) and let it dry.
Stamp with the white color from P2 Square Affaire (010 - Pure white) the hawaiian flowers from the SDP-L plate on your nails.
Now we are going to color in the flowers with a dotting tool. I use the "lead light" technique. I hereby dilute my nail polish with top coat (make it more transparent) so the white stamped flowers are colored, but you can still see the stamped parts.
The leaves are made green with P2 Wild Me uP! - 030 Hypnotised.
The inside of the flower I colored red with Catrice - 18 Bloody Mary To Go.
The petals are yellow, pink and purple colored with "P2 Wild Me uP! - 020 Screaming", "Gosh - 569 Flamingo" and "Catrice - 800 Heavy Metallilac".
Everything is finished with the top coat.
Ready!

Nagellak trends herfst 2012 - Nail polish trends fall 2012

Nu de herfst stilletjes aan nadert, wil ik jullie graag een overzicht geven van de trendy nagellakkleurtjes voor dit seizoen.

Now fall is approaching, I'd like to give an overview of the trendy nail polish colours for this season.


Zwarte nagellak is een kleur die de coole dames onder ons al jaren in hun bezit hebben, maar komend seizoen is er een nieuwe trend voor deze dames: donkere niet-zwarte tinten.
Het gaat hier om donkere tinten zoals wijnrood-paars (plum), donker-bruin, rood-bruin, donker blauw-groen en donker blauw.
Voor de meiden onder ons die niet zo van donkere kleuren houden, niet getreurd want ook lichte kleuren zoals nudes, licht grijs en goud zijn deze herfst helemaal in!

Black nail polish is a colour that the cool ladies among us already have for years, but next season there is a new trend for these ladies: dark non-blacks.
We´re talking about shades like plum, dark brown, red-brown, dark blue-green and dark blue. For the girls among us that don't love the dark colours, do not worry because also light colours such as nudes, light grey and gold are in this fall!


Ik heb eens in mijn kasten vol nagellak gesnuffeld (ja hoor, je leest het goed, kasten vol! Heb ondertussen al meer dan 800 lakjes verzameld, het is een echte verslaving :p ) en heb volgende lakjes gevonden die perfect in de lijn van deze trend passen en die ik deze herfst zeker nog eens ga uitproberen.

I've been searching my closets full of polish (yes, you read it right, closets full! I already collected more than 800 polishes, it's a real addiction :p ) and have found that the polishes below are perfectly in line with this trend and I'm sure gonna give these polishes a try this fall.

Glitters underneath

Vandaag laat ik iets leuks zien met glitters.
Ik kan het moeilijk beschrijven want sommige zeggen dat het meer een marmer effect is, andere zeggen me dat het een eierschaal effect is.
In ieder geval is het heel gemakkelijk te maken en het geeft een heel mooi effect, vind ik.

Today I will show you something fun with glitters.
It's difficult to describe this because some say it's more a marble effect, others tell me that it's an egg shell effect.
In any case, it's very easy to make and it's a very nice effect, I think.

Hoe begin je er aan?
Lak je nagels met een kleurtje naar keuze, in mijn geval met de witte kleur van Catrice.

How do you start?
Polish your nails with a colour of your shoice, in my case with the white colour from Catrice.

















Laat drogen en breng daarna een laagje gouden glitters aan van Essence (Circus Circus: My sparkling acrobat) en laat opnieuw drogen.

Let it dry and apply a layer of gold glitters from Essence (Circus Circus: My sparkling acrobat) and let it dry again.













Breng nu een laagje blauwe glitters van Essence aan (Glorious aquarius) en laat weer drogen.

Now apply a layer of blue glitters from Essence (Glorious aquarius) and let it dry again.













Als laatste breng je "White secret", een doorzichtig wit lakje, van Essence aan over het geheel.
Dit laatste zorgt eigenlijk voor het speciale effect: de glitters worden tussen 2 lakjes nagellak vast gezet.
En voila hieronder het resultaat!

Finally apply "White secret", a translucent white nail polish, from Essence.
This actually provides the special effect: the glitters are fixed between 2 polishes.
And voila below the result!

Mystic mauve nails

Deze Mystic mauve nails zijn heel gemakkelijk te maken, hieronder volgt een korte uitleg.
These Mystic mauve nails are very easy to make, below a short tutorial.

Gebruikte materialen / Used materials :
- Gosh : 02 Misty mauve
- P2 Mission Summer Look : 020 Barbados punch
- Big SdP-G plate
- stempel en schraper / stamp and scraper

Stap 1
Lak je nagels met de limited edition van Gosh : 02 Misty mauve. Dit is een licht paars-roze kleur die echt prachtig is. Ik heb dit lakje een tijdje geleden in een koopjesbak gevonden voor maar 3,50 euro (i.p.v. 7 euro) en ben heel blij dat ik deze gevonden heb!

Step 1
Polish your nails with the limited edition from Gosh : 02 Misty mauve. This is a light purple-pink color that is really beautiful. I bought this nail polish a time ago in sale for 3,50 euro's (instead of 7 euro's) and I'm very happy that I found it!

Stap 2
Stempel nu met de fel roze kleur van P2 Mission Summer Look (020 Barbados punch) het patroon (krulletjes) op je nagel. Ik heb er voor gekozen om maar de helft van het patroon op de nagels te stempelen, maar je kan ook bijvoorbeeld iets meer of het hele patroon op je nagel stempelen.

Step 2
Now Stamp with the bright pink color from  P2 Mission Summer Look (020 Barbados punch) the pattern (curls) on your nail. I chose to stamp only the half of the pattern on my nails, but you can also stamp a little more of the pattern or the hole pattern on your nail.

En klaar!

Zoals je kan zien zijn dit vooral veel lakjes van Gosh, ik had namelijk gewacht op zo'n kortingsactie om alle kleurtjes te bemachtigen.
Verder heb ik voor de eerste keer NYC gekocht, ben eens benieuwd hoe deze lakken. Binnenkort een reviewtje.

As you can see mainly polishes from Gosh, I waited for a discount like that to collect all the polishes from Gosh. I also bought NYC for the first time, I'm curious how easy I can apply them on  my nails. Soon a little review.


En dan nu nog mijn koopje van de maand:
Essence French matt : 04 pretty matt.
Deze heb ik in een koopjesbak gevonden voor maar 0,50 euro en met de korting kostte dit dus maar 0,25 euro! Echt een koopje, denk ik :)

I found this in sale for only 0,50 euros and with the discount it was only 0,25 euros! A real bargain, I think :)

Titanic nails

Met de nieuwe Titanic 3D film in de cinema en de herdenking van 100 jaar Titanic, had ik zin om mijn nagels een Titanic touch te geven met hierboven het resultaat!

With the new Titanic 3D movie in the theaters and the memorial of 100 years of Titanic, I felt like giving my nails a Titanic touch with the above result!


Geïnspireerd op onderstaande foto's, zal ik weer stap voor stap proberen uit te leggen hoe ik het heb gemaakt.

Inspired by the pictures below, I will again try to explain how I made it with a step by step tutorial.

Stap 1 : Blauw-paarse achtergrond maken.
Als achtergrond heb ik me laten inspireren door de mooie blauwe en paarse kleuren van de single van Celine Dion : My heart will go on.

Step1 : Making a blue-purple background.
For the background I was inspired by the beautiful blue and purple colors from the Celine Dion single : My heart will go on.


Stap 1a / Step 1a
Lak je nagels met de blauwe kleur van Essence (98 Walk on air).

Polish your nails with the blue polish from Essence (98 Walk on air).

Stap 1b / Step 1b
Breng wat donker blauwe nagellak van O.P.I. (Russian Navy NL R54) aan op het plastic bakje.
Ik gebruik een klein sponsje van de dm, maar je kan om het even welke spons gebruiken.
Dompel het sponsje in de nagellak op het plastic plaatje, dep het teveel af op het plaatje en stempel dan met het sponsje de donker blauwe kleur onderaan op de nagel (als zee). 

Apply a little dark blue polish from O.P.I. (Russian Navy NL R54) on the plastic tray.
I use a sponge from dm, but you can use any sponge.
Dip the sponge in the nail polish on the tray, remove the excess polish by dipping the sponge again on the tray and stamp with the spong the dark blue color at the bottom of the nail (as the sea).

Dit geeft het volgende resultaat:

Stap 1c / Step 1c
Stempel met de spons op dezelfde manier als hierboven de paars-rode O.P.I. kleur (Diva of Geneva NL Z17) bovenaan de nagel (als lucht).

Stamp with the spong the same way as above the purple-red O.P.I color (Diva of Geneva NL Z17) at the top of the nail (as the sky).

Dit is het resultaat na stap 1c:

Stap 2 : Het tekenen van het schip Titanic op de duimen.
Step 2 : Drawing the Titanic ship on the thumbs.

Je kan best het schip zo eenvoudig mogelijk tekenen en een aantal keren oefenen op een blad papier (zie linkse foto).
Dan heb ik met de witte nail art pen van Sally Hansen alle lijnen getekende en afgewerkt met de zwarte nail art pen van Essence.
Vervolgens heb ik met de oranje-bruine kleur van Sinful Colors (1110 Pandora) de onderkant van de schoorstenen gekleurd met een penseeltje.
Tenslotte heb ik de bovenste delen van de schoorstenen en de onderkant van het schip met de zwarte kleur van Sinful Colors (2 Black on black) gevuld met het kleine penseel.

It is best to draw the ship as simple as possible and to practice a couple of times on a sheet of paper (see the photo on the left).
Then I used the white Sally Hansen nail art pen to draw all the lines and I finished with the black nail art pen from Essence.
I used the orange-brown color from Sinful Colors (1110 Pandora) to color the lower sides of the chimneys with a small brush.
Finally I filled the upper parts of the chimneys and the lower part of the ship with the black colour from Sinful Colors (2 Black on black) and a small brush.

Stap 3 : Het tekenen van "the heart of the ocean" ketting op de ringvinger.
Step 3 : Drawing "the heart of the ocean" necklace on the ring finger.

Teken een hart met een dun penseeltje op de ringvinger met de mooie blauwe kleur van teeeZ (Cool 07).
Breng op een plastic bakje de zilveren kleur van Gosh aan en gebruik een dotting tool om de stipjes rondom het hart te maken en om een deel van de ketting te tekenen.

Draw a heart with a small brush on the ring finger with the beautiful blue colour from teeeZ (Cool 07).
Apply the silver color from Gosh on a plastic tray and use a dotting tool to create the dots around the heart and as part of the chain.

Het resultaat : mijn mooie Titanic manicure is klaar!
The result : my beautiful Titanic manicure is ready!

Dot dotdot dot ... (1)

Hallo iedereen,
vandaag iets over ... juist: dots, stippen en puntjes!
Ik wil aantonen dat nail art heel mooi en ook heel gemakkelijk kan zijn. Bovendien hoeft het helemaal niet duur te zijn want al heb je geen zogenaamde "dotting tools", ik zal jullie laten zien dat iedereen heel gemakkelijk stippen kan maken met wat er thuis aanwezig is.

Wat kan je gebruiken om stippen te maken?
- een dotting tool (3)
- het borsteltje van de nagellak (10)
- een tandenstoker (6)
- een satéprikker of satéstokje (1)
- het stokje van een penseel (2)
- een wattenstokje (5)
- een paperclip (8)
- een puch pin (9)
- een nail art pen (4)
- een kopspeld (7)
- ...

Hoe stippen maken?
Het gemakkelijkste is een bakje, een oud dekseltje of iets dergelijks te gebruiken. Ik gebruik meestal een plastic dekseltje van een doosje waar nepnagels hebben ingezeten (van de action).
Hierop laat je een druppel nagellak vallen waarmee je wilt gaat werken.
Dan dip je de dottingtool (of een andere tool) in de nagellak en kan je beginnen met stippen of puntjes zetten.

Gemakkelijk, toch?

today something about ... right: dots, spots and points!
I want to show that nail art can be very beautiful and also very easy. Besides it doesn't have to be expensive at all because even if you don't have a so called "dotting tool", I'll show you that everybody can make dots easily with different things present at home.

What can you use to make dots?
- a dotting tool (3)
- a nail polish brush (10)
- a toothpick (6)
- a wooden skewer (1)
- a brush stick (2)
- a cotton stick (5)
- a paper clip (8)
- a puch pin (9)
- a nail art pen (4)
- a head pin (7)
- ...



How to make dots?
The easiest way is to use a tray, an old lid or something like that. I usually use a plastic lid from a little box in which fake nails were packed (from action).
On this let fall a drop of nail polish you want to work with.
Then dip the dotting tool (or another tool) in the drop of nail polish and start dotting.
Easy, right?
