Voor degene die nog nooit van het stempelen op nagels gehoord hebben, vandaag hierover wat meer uitleg. Stempelen is niet moeilijk en is ideaal voor wie zelf geen tekenwonder is of bijvoorbeeld voor wie rechtshandig is en ook op de rechterhand mooie nail art wil.
In de volgende stappen wordt uitgelegd hoe het werkt.
For the people who never heard about stamping your nails, I will explain this today.
Stamping is not difficult and is perfect for those who aren't design wonders or for example for right handed people who want beautiful nail art also on their right hand.
In the next steps it will be explained how to stamp your nails.

Stap 1:
Ik werk altijd met keukenpapier onder mijn plaatjes om mijn werkplaats zuiver te houden. Er bestaan natuurlijk ook zogenaamde "image plate holders", houders om de plaatjes in zetten (meestal voor kleinere plaatjes). Wat de plaatjes betreft, er bestaan verschillende vormen en grootten van verschillende merken. De meest bekende plaatjes zijn deze van konad. Step 1:
I always work with kitchen towel under my plates for keeping my work place clean. Of course there are "image plate holders", holders to keep your plates at place (mostly for more little plates). Concerning the plates, there are different shapes and sizes from different brands. The most known are the plates from konad. Stap 2:
Gebruik speciale stempelnagellak en breng de nagellak aan op het motief van de plaat dat je op je nagel wilt zetten. Het aanbrengen is eigenlijk net hetzelfde alsof je je nagel zou lakken. Als stempelnagellak heb ik "Essence nail art stampy polish : 002 stamp me! black" gebruikt. Deze kan je bij Kruidvat vinden. Je kan ook gewone nagellak gebruiken om te stempelen, maar het resultaat is niet altijd even goed. De nagellakken met een dikkere consistentie (goed dekkend) geven meestal wel een goed resultaat.
Step 2:
Use special stamping nail polish and apply the polish on the design of the plate that you want to use on your nail. Applying the polish on the plate is in fact the same as polishing your nails. For the stamping nail polish I used "Essence nail art stampy polish : 002 stamp me! black". You can find this at Kruidvat. You also can use ordinary nail polish for stamping, but the result is not always that good. The nail polishes with a thick consistency (good coverage) give mostly a good result.
Stap 3:
Met een schraper schraap je de overtollige nagellak weg zodat enkel het motief voorzien is van nagellak.
In het voorbeeld heb ik een schraper gebruikt van de Dashica beauty shop, maar meestal gebruik ik gewoon een oude creditcard of klantenkaart. Een tip die ik hierbij wil meegeven: Bij konad of bijvoorbeeld essence krijg je een schraper met metalen schraaprand. Ik raad je dit af te gebruiken vermits het metaal uiteindelijk je motieven op de plaatjes kan beschadigen. Alles uit plastic is ok!
Step 3:
Scrape the excess nail polish away with a scraper so that only the design is filled with nail polish.
In the example I used a scraper from Dashica beauty shop, but mostly I just use an old credit card or an old customers card. A tip I can give you is: with konad or for example essence you get a scraper with a metal scraping edge. I recommend not to use this because in the end the metal will damage your designs on the plates. Everything from plastic is ok!
Stap 4:
Gebruik de stempel en neem het motief (in een rollende beweging) over op de stempel.
Ik gebruik altijd de stempel van de essence nail art stampy set.
Step 4:
Use the stamp en take the design (in a rolling motion) on the stamp.
I always use the stamp from the essence nail art stampy set.
Stap 5:
Het motief zit nu op de stempel.
Step 5:
The design is now on the stamp.
Stap 6:
Stempel het motief (in een rollende beweging) op je nagel.
Verwijder de restjes van het motief op je huid met een in nagellakverwijderaar gedompeld wattenstaafje.
Step 6:
Stamp the design (in a rolling motion) on your nail.
Remove the excess of the design on your skin with a cotton bud dipped in nail polish remover.
Stap 7:
Klaar!
Step 7:
Ready!
Opmerking:
Je kan best vooraleer je begint met stempelen en je nagels te lakken, een base coat (dit is een doorzichtige laag nagellak) aanbrengen om het verkleuren van je nagels te voorkomen.
Na het stempelen wordt meestal ook een top coat ( een doorzichtige of met glitters gevulde laag nagellak) aangebracht.
Remark:
You better apply a base coat (a transparent layer of nail polish) before stamping or polishing your nails to prevent your nails from discoloration.
After stamping most people apply a top coat (a transparent or with sparklling filled layer of nail polish).
